Can I see the admin panel before buying?
Yes. Open https://deepresscms.store/admin/ and log in with demo@example.com and password demo1234. The demo admin is view-only, so you can open every screen and try the editor, but nothing is saved.
Is DeePress CMS a WordPress theme?
No. It is a complete standalone news website system in PHP and MySQL. You do not need WordPress or any plugins.
What hosting do I need?
Any PHP hosting with PHP 8.1 or newer, MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.3+ and Apache or LiteSpeed - for example Hostinger shared hosting. The PHP extensions sodium, curl and zip must be on (they are on most hosts). HTTPS is recommended.
Can I make my news website in Hindi or another Indian language?
Yes. Choose the language during installation or later in Settings. 13 languages are included, among them Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi and Urdu. You write menus, categories, tags and pages in your language.
Is it ready for Google News and Google Discover?
Yes. It includes NewsArticle and LiveBlogPosting schema, a Google News sitemap, large image previews, correct dates with time zone and a checklist in the editor. Approval in Google News always depends on your content and Google's own policies.
How do I install it?
Upload the zip to your hosting, create a database, open yoursite.com/install and follow the steps. It takes about 5 minutes and the README explains every step.
Do I need the licence key to install?
Yes. The installer asks for your licence key and activates it for your website address. You will find the key in your Best News Theme account and in your purchase e-mail.
How many websites can I use one licence on?
One licence is for one website. To move to a new domain, disconnect the old website in Admin > License & Updates or in your account, then activate the same key on the new website.
Are updates free?
Yes, updates are free for life. Install them with one click from Admin > License & Updates.
Will an update delete my stories or images?
No. Updates never touch your database content, the uploads folder or config.php, and a backup of every replaced file is made first.
What happens when my 1 year of support ends?
Your website keeps working for life and you keep getting updates. You can renew support from your account whenever you need help again.
Can my reporters and editors work together?
Yes. Add team members as Admin, Editor or Author. Stories written by Authors go to editors for review before they are published.
Does it send push notifications?
Yes. Web push is built in and works without any paid service. Send a story or a custom alert, or schedule it with a story.
Can I show Google AdSense or other ads?
Yes. Paste your ad code into 9 ad positions, including inside the story and a mobile sticky bar, and manage ads.txt from the admin panel.
Can I move my old news website to DeePress CMS?
There is no automatic importer from other systems. Please contact support before buying if you need help moving existing content.
